Little Rose - Coffee and jaffle enthusiasts
We've always had a fascination with old pubs and the fact they all have a garage in them, so when we came across The Rose Hotel in Port Melbourne, and it's old garage/storage room, we saw it as the perfect spot for something a little different. Rose Diner and Bar backs onto leafy Heath Street, and although Little Rose is still part of 309 Bay Street, you enter from 'out the back' and there's no real address. This, coupled with Melbourne's obsession with hidden venues and the no-so-easy-to-spot cafe, made us think it was the perfect cafe location. So why not! We teamed up with our mates at Espresso Syndicate coffee and decided to whack in a machine and serve old school jaffles and milkshakes.
Little Rose is open Monday to Friday from 7am - 3pm and on the weekends from 8am - 4pm. Access is through the roller door on Heath Street, or enter through the makeshift alleyway in Rose Diner after 12pm.
